Dr Paul Mitchell

Paul Mitchell is a health economist who joined the UK Renal Registry in January 2016. He is also part funded by the NIHR CLAHRC West. Previously, Paul has held health economist positions at King’s College London, the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecologists and the University of Birmingham. His research interests are primarily concerned about the measurement of quality of life in assessing patient benefit, with a particular interest in measuring people’s capabilities. Paul’s role will look to make the most of the data routinely collected by the UK Renal Registry from a health economics perspective, as well as building on his research interests, applied to the area of renal disease.
